Concrete Jungle Where Dreams Are made of!!!! Part 1

We all know that in telling a story there is a beginning, the middle and the end. This post is somewhat starting in the middle of the story. So there's going to be a lot of flashbacks.:)
This story begins from my transit at the Dubai International Airport. The flight from Accra to Dubai lasted about 7 hours, and yes it was really smooth. I enjoyed the food the most and even though I had the most annoying person sitting beside me(Well that's a story for another day). We landed in Dubai at around 6:00am and I had about 2 hours till my next flight to New York.

So here I was, a 20 something year old girl travelling by herself for the first time( Errr not exactly dramatic right?). Well I had heard so much of this Dubai Airport so I told my self I was going to really explore it, but first I  had to locate my boarding gate. I followed the directional arrows and after running after the train, using the elevator up and down and a little bit of walking in opposite directions I found it and made a mental note of how I got there. I then decided to start roaming around the airport, first and foremost to the duty free section, I didn't find anything spectacular; chocolates, magazines, candies, more chocolates, dates and the usual Dubai souvenirs I was expecting to find. Well I bought a keyholder which had gold plaited tiny duplicates of the Burj al Arab and a camel. Being the sweet tooth that I am, it wouldn't have been proper not to get some sweets as well.
After that I wandered through the designer shops(don't remember which exactly) and I realized my boarding time was up. I rushed through to board my plane to New York!!!
